NO TAX INCREASE

These measures have been specifically designed to not raise taxes.

PROVIDE OUR KIDS WITH SAFE PLACES TO PLAY

These measures will improve playgrounds and create new parks so that our kids can safely play close to home.

REPAIR OUR EXISTING FACILITIES

Our currently existing parks and recreation centers need critical maintenance and repairs. These measures will restore and modernize facilities across the city, including Fair Park, readying them to serve the needs of today's residents.

GROW THE LOCAL ECONOMY

Studies show that every dollar invested in parks generates $7 in local economic activity. These measures will generate nearly $2 billion in economic benefits and create new jobs, all while making Dallas a more attractive place to live and do business.

PRESERVE OUR QUALITY OF LIFE

Creating new parks and improving existing parks will help improve the quality of life in Dallas, helping us retain talent and compete with peer cities.

PROVIDE GREATER PARK ACCESS FOR ALL

These measures will greatly increase the number of parks and natural areas throughout all of Dallas, bringing new parks, trails, and rec centers to tens-of-thousands of residents.

PROTECT WILDLIFE

Dallas's natural areas are home to diverse species of birds, fish, and other wildlife. It is important to protect these valuable wildlife habitats for the sake of the animals that depend on them for survival.

PROTECT OUR WATER QUALITY

These measures will help to protect water quality in local creeks and streams, and create new parks to reduce the risk of major flooding. They will reduce runoff and erosion that can pollute our water.

Propositions B and C Have Strict Accountability Measures

  • These bond measures have strict accountability provisions, including annual independent audits and full public disclosure of all expenditures, to ensure that funds are spent efficiently and as promised to voters.
  • Private philanthropic donors have offered over $150 million in funds to match money committed by taxpayers, meaning these bond measures will be even more effective at improving our local parks and trails.
